NGO: Provide food to orphanages
Hyderabad: Amid the lockdown, a city-based NGO has appealed Telangana government to provide adequate food for the children in the orphanages. Only a few days ago, the women and child welfare department has asked all child care institutes (CCI) to hand over the children to their guardian or relatives.
"Only children who have nowhere else to go are staying. We have already stocked up for the 25 children currently staying with us. But if any CCI needs essentials, the government should come forward to help," said Purna Chandra from the Hyd Children Aid Society for Girls, a listed CCI.
